How-To Consign
Consignment at Amanda’s Exchange
Items are accepted on consignment. You get paid once the items sell. We do not offer cash up-front buy outs. See consignment percentages below.
In order to quickly serve all consignors, we are able review up to 30 items per day.
How-To Consign with Amanda’s Exchange
Please pre-sort your items and remove anything that is stained, worn, dated, or out of season. Drop-and-donate items are subject to the same guidelines.

Joining the Waitlist
Visit the sign-in kiosk to join the waitlist. You'll receive a text confirmation showing your place in line and estimated wait time. Feel free to shop around while you wait!
- You're welcome to grab a rolling cart and keep your items with you while you shop.
- You may also leave them on the Waitlist Holding Shelf until it's your turn. Please note: we are not responsible for your items until we've reviewed them and they're in our possession.
You'll receive a second text when you're next in line, letting you know to make your way back to the consignment area. A final text will let you know when it's your turn — you'll have 2 minutes to reach the consignment counter, or we'll move on to the next person and bump you down a spot.
When it's your turn, we'll review your items on the spot and let you know what we're able to accept. If you have questions about why certain items weren't accepted, we're happy to answer them at this time.
Consignment Terms
- No setup fee.
- Items are consigned for 90 days and subject to markdowns every 30 days. Seasonal items may have shorter consignment periods.
- Items should be in excellent condition, current styles, and from a smoke-free home. Please bring items on hangers or folded neatly in tubs or reusable bags — we do not accept items in trash bags.
- Accepted items will appear on your account within 48–72 hours. Jewelry and luxury items are held for a manager to price and may take a bit longer to appear.
Luxury Consignments
If you have designer or luxury items and want to discuss pricing before committing to the 90-day consignment period, let the associate know at drop-off. We'll authenticate the item and propose a price, and you can then decide whether to proceed with consignment. This process can take up to a week.
Consignment Percentages
- For items priced under $1-$95, the consignor receives 40% of the selling price.
- For items priced $95-$500, the consignor receives 50% of the selling price.
- For items priced $501 or more, the consignor receives 60% of the selling price.
Luxury consignments offer a higher percentage that will be discussed at time of consignment.
Note: A small fee will be added to each item, called a buyers fee. This fee is paid by the buyer and does not affect the consignor.
How to Pay Out Your Consignor Balance
- Monthly payouts of $50 or more are sent via direct deposit (Simple Pay).
- Balances of $100 or less may be picked up in-store at any time.
- Balances over $100 (if picking up in-store) will be paid by check. A $4.50 check processing fee applies. Checks over $500 require 24-hour notice.
Our preference is that all consignors sign up for Simple Pay.
